The air we breath is not only made up of gases. It contains also aerosols. Aerosols are small liquid droplets or solid particles suspended in the air. Aerosols can form directly in the air or can come from seawater, from human activity, from plants, from volcanoes and from rocks. They have an important role in the atmosphere and can affect human health.
